Application

  • I filled out an application. Does this mean I am obligated to rent from you?
    • Not at all! The application simply lets us know the unit in which you are most interested.

  • I like two different units. Do I submit more than one application?
    • No, please submit only one application. Indicate which unit you are MOST interested in. If you change your mind about which unit or building you like, we can always transfer your application to your new preference. To transfer your application, just call 608-643-2494.

  • If I apply for one of your units, does my application reserve it for me?
    • Sorry, no, the only way to secure an apartment is to pay earnest money then you have 72 hours to sign the lease.

  • Do I have to fill out an application to rent from you?
    • Yes, everyone over the age of 18 must fill out an application.

  • What is needed with the application?
    • Along with the application we need supporting documentation. This includes a copy of your driver's license, proof of income (paycheck stub, direct deposit slip), a copy of your credit score and a full report if the score is below 650.

  • Is there a cost to apply?
    • If you provide your credit report, there is no cost to apply. If you need us to obtain your credit, there is a cost of $25 per adult that needs a credit report.



Rental Search & Showings

  • Do you have anything that will be available soon?
    • As soon as we have an available unit, we post it on our website checkrentals.com so this will be our most current. Please keep in mind things may change daily.

  • How fast do your current rental units get rented?
    • It varies, so we have no way of knowing. Please keep in mind that we sign leases every weekday.

  • Can I view the property before completing the application?
    • No, we can only schedule showings after your application is approved.



Lease Signing

  • I like one of your apartments! How do sign a lease?
    • As soon as we have an available unit, we post it on our website checkrentals.com so this will be our most current. Please keep in mind things may change daily. To sign a lease, you must have an approved rental application before the time of your lease signing. You can sign the lease in person by setting up an appointment or through DocuSign.

  • I am interested in one of your places, but am not ready to sign yet. Can you reserve it for me?
    • Although we want you to be very certain of your decision before signing a lease, we are unable to hold units for anyone. The only way to secure a rental is by signing a lease or paying the security deposit then having 72 hours to sign the lease. We sign leases on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Do I have to come to your office to sign a lease?
    • We can send you the lease electronically to sign if this works better. Although you will have to visit our office to get the keys on your move in date.



Co-Signers

  • Who is a co-signer?
    • A co-signer is a local third party, often a relative, who agrees to secure the financial obligation of the lease if you default on your payments.

  • What do you need from my co-signer?
    • Your co-signer will have to fill out an application and provide the same supporting documentation just as you did for your application.



Other

  • If there is more than one tenant on the lease who is responsible?
    • All tenants, if more than one, are jointly and severally liable for the full amount of any payments due under the agreement.

  • Do you require Renters Insurance?
    • KKPM, LLC requires all tenants to acquire rental insurance for your unit and personal property and needs to be provided within 30 days of the lease signing.

  • Do you allow pets?
    • It depends on the property and if the property does allow a pet, you must follow the KKPM, LLC pet policy and there is a maximum of 2 pets allowed.
